This week I have started my internship at one of Wellington's most prominent Animation/Design studios, Fox&Co. Design. I was super stoked to get this opportunity and even happier with how I got it. After attending 2 Motion Design Meet Up events held by Fox&Co., I presented my portfolio and they suggested I apply for the internship program that they were starting. The timing was perfect as I had just finished my degree.

So far, the work has been at a good pace and has made me feel like I am working efficiently and effectively. The feedback that they have given me has been very helpful and valuable to my progression. Working at this company has been very stimulating for me and I look forward to collaborating and learning much more. The team is great; they are friendly, funny and helpful. It was really nice to receive a their merchandise on the first day along with some booklets with helpful information.

The way that the program is structured is that I have to come in 3 days a week from 9-5 and the other 2 week days are optional. After 4 weeks, there will be a possibility of extending the internship another 6 weeks if they are happy with my work and progress. After that, they will determine whether they want to keep me on as a casual worker, which I hope will be the case.
